Los Angeles Spring 2018 Trip - 2nd vlog uploaded

Los Angeles, CA, USA
Good evening loves!

I'm back for another delayed post. I'll be sharing our short spontaneous trip to Los Angeles last spring. This time we decided to rent a car so we can have our time to ourselves and explore more of the city. On our previous trips we were always accompanied by my relatives. It was not bad at all but we thought it was an opportunity to really get out there and experience Los Angeles at least for the two of us. We flew, as always, and we were there for Memorial Weekend so the traffic was triple or probably worst (What is the worst day or holiday to be in Los Angeles?)

Reno, Nevada

It was a such a snowy morning when we left Reno. The road condition was slushy and wet. I felt guilty because I was too confident that we could leave thirty minutes before our flight from Carson city. And I kid you not when we got to the check-in counter, the lady was like,

"I'm sorry you have to be here fourty-five minutes before your flight. May I ask what's the reason for being late?".

Of course I had to make up something so I replied to her,

"We're really sorry but there was an accident in Summit area because of snow. We had to make a detour."

And so, we were able to get on to the next flight for F R E E. Yes, my husband was so angry at me but all was well. I was forgiven.

FIRST DAY: Arriving in L.A.

Los Angeles, California
View of L.A. from Griffith Observatory

Unfortunately, we weren't able to do so much on our first day. We arrived at the airport around noon and went straight to Alamo Rental Car. The good thing about LAX is the rental cars are around the airport and there's a bus that will take you for free. It took us two hours to do all the paper works (worst part of the trip so far). It was packed with tourists. By the time we left rental shop, we had our lunch at the Bao Dim Sum House. The food was very delicious and pricey (what do you expect it's LA, right?).

After lunch, we went to Griffith Observatory and spent most of our day before we head to Santa Clarita to visit my relatives. It was a fine day at the observatory not so much people and parking was not that bad. It was bearable and so was the traffic going to Santa Clarita.

SECOND DAY: Redondo Beach and Santa Monica Pier

The next day we drove to Redondo Beach. It was our first time to visit the area. We had lunch. We ate fish and LOTS of crab. It was delicious. Though I wouldn't recommend using their bathrooms. They were stinky. The floors were wet and dirty. Though it was a perfect weather by the beach as usual winds were too strong. I didn't mind at all. Just be sure to wear hats and caps and a thin layer of sweater to keep you warm.

Later that day we decided to go to Santa Monica Pier and shop around. Nothing exciting really. I'd say the whole vibe of LA really minded me of Manila. There's so much to do, to shop at, and places to eat at. A lot of happenings which we don't really have in Carson City (what a bummer!).

THIRD DAY: San Diego

Some cool shop at San Diego

LAST DAY: Venice Canals and Beachwalk

Gloomy day at Venice Canals

Venice Beachwalk

It could have been a perfect day to take pictures in Venice if only the weather cooperated with us. I had so many shots that I already planned for this day but nope. The sun didn't come out at all. Well it did for a short time. Ugh. But still, I tried and I don't feel like editing all these pictures I've taken cos I wanted everything raw. So yeah, no edits for most pictures here. I still have videos that I have to edit too. YAY! :| I'm so behind with everything for my blog and YouTube. SO please pleaseeee, bare with me guys.

Anyway, I would love to go back to Venice again. It's such a nice place to take pictures and in Santa Monica Pier too. I have never been inside the pier though. There's so many people as always. But if any of you guys would like to have a photo walk with me (not a photoshoot). Please let me know in advance. It's always nice to go with someone who has the same motive.

Thanks again if you ever read til the end of my post. Till next time!

Lately, I can't stop listening to music from late 90's to early 20's. So I made a playlist just for it.
